Green Tea Antioxidants – Getting Healthier with Green Tea

Humans have been trying to slow down the aging process for long. Obviously, reversing the effects of age is not yet possible, but in any case, we can still apply some methods that help us feel and look younger even when growing older. People spend thousands of dollars on anti aging creams, skin products and other treatments, but they forget about herbs and foods that can facilitate the anti aging process. Green tea antioxidants are among the best anti aging components known today.

Green tea is a natural product that delays aging in many different ways

It can smooth and heal stressed skin, balance the skin tone or even repair sun damage. People in Asian countries have been using green tea for its health benefits. It is used either in the form of drink or as a capsule and tablet.

Green tea is full of antioxidants, which are essential to reverse the consequences of the so called free radicals that make us age faster by inducing the deterioration of cells. This is what creates the signs of aging as we know them. Free radicals are usually increased in our blood due to poor diet and lack of basic nutrients.

A study published by University of Chicago indicates that green tea can reduce appetite, provided that people consume three cups every day. Its antioxidants are associated with prevention of mental diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, and an overall feeling of health and high levels of energy.

Green Tea can also give a boost to your immune system, protecting cells from breaking down. If you are an avid athlete or exercise frequently, green tea can help you not only increase your metabolic rate and, thus, burn more calories, but also protect your muscle mass and cells.

Green Tea is not a magic weight loss supplement; it is a healthy food you can consume because it can help you improve your overall health while shedding some extra pounds off. Consuming two to three cups per day you have nothing to be afraid of; unlike other weight loss supplements, such as pills, steroids or ephedra, green tea has no dangerous side effects. Moreover, green tea promotes the good condition of digestive system.

Green tea serves as a habit replacement for coffee but lacks the caffeine so it’s hardly a viable alternative
